BAGACAY BRIDGE

Bagacay Bridge located at Barangay Bucalbucalan Sorsogon city, Sorsogon 1st Legislative District, required retrofitting due to some moment cracking and its age. The structural components of the bridge has weakened due to moving load and longevity.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional V office awarded the project to EC Structural Compposite, Inc., to retrofit the beam, top and bottom slab.
The Tyfo® Fibrwrap® systems was applied in Bagacay Bridge to increase the strength of existing beams, slab and other structural connections of the bridge.
