This private pier is under an Agro – Industrial Park and is used by four different companies seaport for the loading and unloading of cargoes.  It is the main pier that is used for transporting minerals coming from foreign countries to the Southern Tagalog Region .

Built in the 70’s, the port structure was restored 10 years ago.  But due to the corrosive environment, the management decided to come up with its immediate rehabilitation. The objective of this project is to strengthen the structure and to prevent corrosion to restore the stability of their pier.

EC Structural Composites, Inc. introduced the Tyfo Fibrwrap systems and used SEH-25A Glass fiber for the steel piles, beams & pile caps, together with the use of the Tyfo S & Tyfo SW–1 epoxies. Severely corroded reinforcing bars were replaced & cracks were injected with epoxy mortar.

The rehabilitation of this pier was carried out with minimal disruptions to the port operation. The owner’s selection of the Tyfo Fibrwrap System on their pier for structural strengthening ensures our customer of a stable pier structure & of long term protection against corrosion.
