This private port is considered a bulk cargo terminal because of the heavy shipments coming in bulk from China, Japan, Korea & other foreign countries.

The port structure was constructed in the middle of the 1990s.  In 2011 and after underwater investigation, we found several holes on the sheet piles.  The objective of the project is to prevent further corrosion to the structure.

EC Structural Composites, Inc. (ECSCI), after proposing the technology needed by the structure, selected Tyfo Fibrwrap – Tyfo SEH–25A glass fiber with Tyfo SW–1 underwater epoxy resin System.

The project was implemented in coordination with their operations personnel and provided no disruption to their port operation. The result of the repair is long term protection against corrosion.
