This 20-million liter capacity concrete reservoir was built in the late1960’s.  It is situated in Manila, Philippines.

The inner surface of the tank’s overhead slab was found to be chipping off and leaks were observed along its outside periphery.  The leaks were observed to be coming from cracks and pinholes on the inner surface of the tank.

EC Structural Composites, Inc. (ECSCI) repaired the tank by removing completely all weak concrete from the slab’s surface and rebuilt the damaged areas.  Epoxy injection works were carried out to fill up the voids in the structure and two (2) layers of Tyfo® SEH-25 were then applied inside the tank’s surface to stop the tank from leaking again.

Repairs on the tank were completed in thirty (30) days.  All leaks were eliminated with no observed visible recurrence of the same problems four (4) years after the reservoir was put back into service.
