Replacement and Upgrading of the existing aluminum sulfate & poly aluminum chloride dosing system for LP-1 & LP-2

Concrete storage tanks are used to house about 1,600 metric tons of Alum Sulfate – a chemical used as part of ther treatment process to supply quality potable water throughout metro manila. It acts as a flocculating agent when water turbidity is high especially during rainy season.

These tanks were constructed using rubber lining as  the primary protection against Alum Sulfate in the year 1979 and  was operational in the year 1983.

With this consiseration, this tanks were subjected into retrofitting/relining of the four (4) existing concrete Alum tanks and two (2) new PACL steel tanks using the TYFO FIBRWRAP SYSTEM technology through application of 2 layers of TYFO SEH25A Glass Fiber and TYFO HCR – a special coating highly resistant to chemicals.

EC Structural Composites, Inc. Completed the retrofitting works in 182 calendar days.
