This 20-million liter capacity concrete reservoir in Espiritu St., San Andres Bukid, Manila.

Prior to its repair, this reservoir was leaking through its inlet/outlet pipe.  Pinholes were also observed along its construction joints, which were already leaking and showing signs of an impending bigger problem.

EC Structural Composites, Inc. (ECSCI) carried out epoxy injection works to fill up voids in the structure and repaired the inlet/outlet pipe of the reservoir using two (2) layers of Tyfo® SCH-41 to strengthen the pipe and arrest the leaking.  The tank’s inner surface was treated with two (2) layers of Tyfo® SEH-25 to prevent pinholes from further developing and to ensure that its surface would be leak-free.

Repairs on the reservoir were completed in forty-five (45) days.  All leaks were eliminated with no observed visible recurrence of the same problem four (4) years after it was put back into service.
